Vicky and Colin’s Wedding Day started early. I arrived at the house to cover the bridal preparations and everyone was ready. Bride and bridesmaid’s looking wonderful. Everyone literally ready to leave to go to the wedding and it was 8.30am. I gather hair and makeup had started at 4.30am which was impressive. It meant that we had a lot of time to capture some images of the bride’s party before. It was a lovely sunny morning and the group were being picked up in a fabulous white stretch limo – if you’re going to do these things you might as well do them properly. The ceremony was held at Sunderland Register Office where bride Vicky was married to groom Colin. After the traditional signing of the register and confetti throw the party went on to Miss Nancy’s Bistro in Houghton-le-Spring. If you haven’t been, Miss Nancy’s is a quirky cafe/restaurant in the centre of the town. They’d literally laid out the red carpet for Vicky and Colin which was great. The interior of Miss Nancy’s features lots of interesting decor and items – including a wall where visitors can leave a padlock to commemorate their time their. Vicky and Colin had a specially engraved padlock to add to the wall. After speeches the party were treated to acoustic guitar by local musician Annabelle. This wedding was a lot of fun and the event at Miss Nancy’s was such a unique place hold the wedding reception. Thank you to Vicky and Colin for asking me to be cover your wedding photography. I’d like to wish you good luck and happiness together as husband and wife.
