Tracy & Richard’s Royal Station Hotel Wedding
Richard and Tracy contacted me 2 weeks before their wedding at the Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle. They’d been let down by a wedding photographer who had taken their fee and then vanished – leaving them in the lurch and out of pocket. It happens because a some cheap wedding photographers set up shop, take clients booking fees on cheap deals and then disappear. I was happy to step in especially as the Royal Station Hotel is somewhere I haven’t worked at before. For anyone who doesn’t know this venue, it is a classic Victorian hotel attached to the Central Station in Newcastle. Featuring period ceilings and fireplaces alongside long corridors decorated with beautiful original Victorian fired tiles. It’s got it’s own distinctive style as a result and is a convenient location for a Newcastle Wedding as well of course. Tracy and Rich were great fun and clearly had a fantastic day surrounded by close friends and family. After capturing the Bridal Preparations which included 5 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls I took some great portrait shots of Rich and his best man Tony. The ceremony room itself is a great setting with wooden panelling and tall ceilings and a lovely place to exchange your vows. The grand staircase in the hotel is also very impressive and made for a great place to take the group and formal bridal party shots of the day. The reception took place in the adjacent ballroom which has more than enough space to accommodate the wedding breakfast and the evening event as well. A great day all in all which I know Rich and Tracey really involved. I’d like to wish the happy couple all the best for their future together as man and wife. Thanks for asking me to be your wedding photographer!
