Crab Manor is a fantastic North Yorkshire wedding venue in Asenby near Thirsk. If you haven’t been it is definitely worth a visit to the famous seafood restaurant or for a longer stay in the hotel. This was the setting for the wedding of Tim & Trisha Trowbridge who have visited Crab Manor many times of the years. In fact, it was where Tim proposed to Trisha earlier in the year and a fitting location for the wedding ceremony as a result. This wedding was so lovely with many friends and family members there as guests – including their daughter Chloe who used her skills as a wedding planner to help organise the event itself. The day was fantastic with the beautiful sunshine glinting through the trees in the gardens of Crab Manor and into the ceremony room. It’s hard to do this location justice when describing it but quirky and full of character goes some way towards it. The photos covered the whole day from the groom and his party getting ready at the house nearby and the bride and bridesmaids too at a suite in the hotel – and onto the ceremony and wedding reception afterwards. The gardens made for a backdrop for some bride and groom portraits in the very pleasant weather and we got the obligatory ‘group shot’ whilst I hung out of the first floor window of the hotel. The meal was in the hotel’s main restaurant with the fantastic service laid on by the staff. A musical end to the evening with a live duo act which got everyone dancing. This really was a romantic and meaningful day for Tim & Trisha and I was so pleased to be a part of it and to provide their wedding photography. I would like to thank them for asking me to be their wedding photographer for the day. Also, thanks to Chloe and her family for their help in putting together this fabulous wedding day.
