Sarah and Neil’s Wedding was held at St Cuthberts-in-Marton church. This building which is over 800 years old and has a beautiful atmosphere and setting. Apparently this is the church where Captain Cook was christened which shows how long this building has stood here. As a Middlesbrough Wedding Photographer it is great to work here and to see many of the historic buildings in the area. I’d actually met Sarah and Neil before at a previous wedding – for another member of their family. It’s always great when someone likes your approach and wants to work with you again. Next to the Church is Stewarts Park which made for a fantastic setting for the group shots and bride and groom portraits. Neil and Sarah had hired a beautiful white Rolls Royce which we managed to squeeze through the parks gates for the main portrait above. For the wedding breakfast the party continued onto Jury’s Inn in Middlesbrough for the reception and evening party. The dining room looked fantastic and Sarah had made cupcakes for all the guests – an amazing feat given the party numbered nearly 100 guests. On the night, the couple had hired the band, Land Anthem. If you’ve attended other events and weddings in the area I am sure this band will be very familiar to you. It was a great way to end a great day which I am sure the photos will show. Congratulations to Neil and Sarah. Thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer. I wish you all the best for your future together as husband and wife.
