Hayley and Danny’s wedding started at the Church of St John the Evangelist and finished with the wedding reception and evening party at the Sporting Lodge Hotel in Stainton. Hayley and Danny both wanted to have relaxed and unposed photos of their wedding day. Whilst Hayley had the bridal prep at her house nearby her husband Danny got ready with his friends close to the church itself. One of the highlights was the arrival of a vintage car to pick Hayley and her father up to take her to the church. In fact, the car was so prompt the bride arrived shortly before the groom meaning they had to do a short circuit round the church to get things back in order. The Church of St John in Middlesbrough is an impressive Victorian brick built structure with beautiful stained glass windows and reflective atmosphere inside.
It is a lovely and fitting etting for a traditional wedding service. After the ceremony, the wedding party travelled on to the Sporting Lodge Hotel. This a relaxed and modern venue which caters for small and medium sized weddings. They have the benefit of a large garden around the back and the couple put on a Bouncy Castle. I assume this was for the kids at the wedding but it seems that some of the guests enjoyed it too.
Working as a Middlesbrough Wedding Photographer I can say that It was a great wedding and a lot of fun with this relaxed and easy going couple. The Best Man put on a fantastic speech and slideshow of photos in the evening – bringing quite a few people to tears, including the Best Man himself. A fantastic evening party and music ended the evening. It was great to meet Hayley and Danny and I’d like to thank them for asking me to be their wedding photographer on their special day.
