South Causey Inn is fast becoming one of my favourites places for to work as a wedding photographer. It’s such a relaxed venue with great character and facilities. South Causey Inn tends to attract couples who are also fun and laid back – preferring a rustic and natural style in their day and the photos. I’ve covered other weddings at South Causey only recently including the wedding of Joanne and Thomas which also a lot of fun and also Caroline & Alan’s wedding.
This was the wedding of Amy and Tommy – a really great couple who chose South Causey as their preferred wedding venue for the day. Amy is local to the North East and Tommy is from Sweden. This meant there were traditions from both England and Sweden brought into the wedding and especially the speeches throughout the wedding breakfast.
The day itself began with bridal preparations at Amy’s house. The groom had thoughtfully bought Amy a water bottle to ensure she didn’t get ‘cold feet’ on the day. In fact, the day continued with the same good humour and fun throughout.
South Causey Inn’s Durham Suite is a lovely setting and the ceremony room was laid out with natural colours and fabrics alongside candles. This created a really nice atmosphere which was perfectly in keeping with the style and approach of the wedding itself.
I has said that this was an English and Swedish wedding and this became most apparent during the speeches which includes at least 10 individual speeches, games, songs and more. I’m not sure South Causey had ever seen this approach and it was great fun to see – and the perfect venue for it of course too. I’ll be working again at this venue in October and am looking forwards to visiting there again soon.
Thanks to Tommy and Amy for asking me to be their wedding photographer and also for their review on Facebook. Congratulations and all the best for your future together.
